Position Overview
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for flexibility without sacrificing the impact you make? We are seeking a dedicated, Idaho-licensed OT to join our team for the upcoming school year.
In this role, you will provide high-quality teletherapy services to a diverse student caseload across rural school districts. This unique structure allows you to support districts that pool their resources to provide exceptional special education services. Key Responsibilities
Direct Therapy: Deliver engaging, evidence-based virtual occupational therapy sessions to students (PreK-12) to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-regulation.
Assessments & Evaluations: Administer, score, and interpret standardized occupational therapy assessments remotely to determine student eligibility and functional needs.
IEP Management: Write legally defensible IEP goals, develop appropriate accommodations/modifications, facilitate or participate in virtual IEP meetings, and maintain compliance with Idaho Department of Education guidelines.
Collaboration & Consultation: Partner virtually with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and parents to provide strategies, assistive technology recommendations, and classroom accommodations.
Documentation: Track student progress diligently, maintain daily session logs, and complete Medicaid billing documentation as required by the state.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
Certification: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
Licensure: * Active (or eligible for) Idaho State OT License.
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of school-based experience preferred. Prior teletherapy experience is a plus, but tech-savviness and adaptability are a must.
Technical Setup: Reliable high-speed internet, a private/quiet workspace compliant with HIPAA/FERPA privacy standards, and a computer with a functional webcam and microphone.
