Position Overview

In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to a diverse student population across rural or cooperative school districts managed by a Colorado BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services). This unique structure allows you to support districts that pool their resources to provide exceptional special education and mental health services. Key Responsibilities

• Psychological Evaluations: Administer, score, and interpret comprehensive psychological, cognitive, and socio-emotional assessments virtually to determine eligibility for special education services.

• IEP & 504 Participation: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to write legally defensible Evaluation Report Reviews (ERDs) and IEP goals, and facilitate or participate in virtual IEP and 504 meetings.

• Counseling & Intervention: Deliver evidence-based individual or group tele-counseling sessions focusing on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic coping strategies.

• Consultation & Behavioral Support: Partner virtually with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and design effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

• Crisis Response: Provide virtual support and risk assessments during crisis situations, collaborating closely with on-site BOCES staff to ensure student safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Certification: Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential preferred.

• Licensure: * Active (or eligible for) Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider License with a School Psychologist endorsement.

• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of school-based experience preferred. Strong familiarity with Colorado rules regulating the administration of special education.

• Technical Setup: Reliable high-speed internet, a private/quiet workspace compliant with HIPAA/FERPA privacy standards, and a computer with a functional webcam and microphone.
